The 90s was a great time for baseball fans, featuring players who made it worth going to the ballpark or tuning in on TV several times a week. There were hard-throwing pitchers, seemingly unhittable closers, and hitters that were a threat to knock it out of the park in every at bat. The greatest challenge in remembering the baseball stars of the 90s is that there were so many you may get them mixed up. Are you up to the challenge?

You should easily be able to name at least three pitchers from the 1990's Atlanta Braves, who had arguably one of the best starting rotations in baseball history. The hitters for the Braves were no laughing matter either. They had a third baseman in the 90s that played for the team for 17 years and was an eight-time all-star. No wonder the Braves went to the World Series five times in the 90s.

Often overlooked catchers also refused to take a back seat in the Major League scene in the 90s. One broke Dodger's fans hearts twice. First he shocked them when he moved on to become a superstar for the Mets, and then he did it again in 2016 when he decided to wear a Mets hats in the Hall of Fame. Another catcher spent most of his career with the Rangers and was not only a formidable hitter, but he is considered one of the best defensive catchers ever. Surely you haven't forgotten Pudge stopping almost every potential wild pitch against your favorite team.

Not all baseball stars were from teams you would think of as powerhouses of the 90s. The Astros had a second baseman who spent his entire career with the team, including stints at catcher and in the outfield. He was a seven-time All-Star and was part of the team's three "Killer B's". Also in Texas, this Ranger's player had 100 or more RBI's in eight different seasons, batted .310 or higher five times, and whacked over 40 home runs five times. Players like this made games that looked boring on paper actually fun to watch.

Enough hints. Think back to the 90s and Mr. Padre, The Big Unit, and Dutch. Grab some peanuts and Crackers Jacks, think about the sweet sound of a home run off the bat, and ace this quiz!
